The 3rd day of GJEPC’s 4th batch of the Exporter Mentorship Programme (EMP), being held from 22nd to 26th September in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, continued its mission of developing exports in the UAE market with an enriching third day of sessions and market visits.
- Session with Ms. Zarin Suhail: With 18 years of expertise in jewellery merchandising, product development, and brand management, Ms. Suhail conducted an engaging session covering trends across diamond, silver, gemstone, and gold jewellery. She shared her journey of creating a jewellery brand for a client, illustrated through a unique “family tree of jewellery lineage.” An interactive Q&A session addressed critical questions on the working metrics of diamond jewellery, offering both practical and strategic insights.
- Madinat Zayed – Traditional Souq Visit (Abu Dhabi): Delegates explored the traditional souq, discovering jewellery styles distinct from Dubai’s market, tailored primarily for Middle Eastern consumers.
- Gold Market – Hamdan Street (Abu Dhabi): A drive-through tour introduced participants to the bustling Hamdan Street jewellery hub, where jewellers specialise in gold, diamond, and silver jewellery, reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of Abu Dhabi’s retail landscape.
Day 3 of the EMP highlighted the distinct consumer preferences within the UAE, strengthening participants’ understanding of how regional market dynamics shape product design, demand, and business opportunities.
