An outreach session on the UK-India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (UK-CETA) was organised on 4 September under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme by the Jaipur office of the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (Jt. DGFT), in collaboration with FIEO and GJEPC.
The exporters from across product segments were briefed on the opportunities available in the UK through zero-duty access on 99% tariff lines.
The session was chaired by Ms. Vrunda Desai, Addl. DGFT, New Delhi Zone, alongside Mr. Moin Afaque, Jt. DGFT, Jaipur; Mr. Swadesh Deepak, Branch Manager, ECGC, Jaipur; Mr. Nitin Khandelwal, Regional Director, GJEPC; and Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Regional Manager, FIEO.
The event highlighted the government’s efforts to sensitise exporters on maximising the benefits of the trade pact and boosting India’s global trade footprint.
