Diamonds Do Good Marks Summer of Milestones with Gala, Grants, and Global Recognition

Diamonds Do Good (DDG) wrapped up a season of achievements with its sold-out 2025 Awards Gala, the announcement of 10 entrepreneurship grant winners, and international acclaim for its video storytelling.

The June gala in Las Vegas honoured leaders including Claudia Cividino of Jared, Tanishq, Sissy’s Log Cabin, and Govind Dholakia. Botswana’s Minister of Minerals and Energy, Hon. Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, opened the evening by highlighting the life-changing role diamonds play in her nation’s growth.

In August, DDG named 10 winners of its 4th Annual Entrepreneurship Grant Program. Botswana’s Tshireletso Seoromeng received the top $20,000 prize, with Tanzania’s Jerusa Kitoto awarded $10,000. Eight entrepreneurs from Africa and India received $5,000 each to grow their businesses and strengthen communities.

Capping the summer, DDG won a Silver Telly Award in the Business-to-Consumer category for its Video News Release campaign, produced with Elias World Media and Catapult Media and supported by the JCK Industry Fund.

“This recognition is a testament to the remarkable work we’ve accomplished together and the compelling story of natural diamonds we’ve been able to share,” said Nancy Orem Lyman, Executive Director, DDG. “From celebrating global leaders to empowering local entrepreneurs, this summer has shown what is possible when the industry comes together with purpose.”

The next Diamonds Do Good Awards will be held on 28 May 2026, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
