The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) held a seminar titled “GJEPC and Trade Opportunities” for the Zaveri Bazaar trade community in Mumbai, attracting over 200 participants including exporters, traders, and young entrepreneurs.

The event highlighted GJEPC’s initiatives to boost global reach for Indian gem and jewellery businesses. Ms. Khusboo Ranawat, Regional Chairperson (Western Region), GJEPC, opened the session, stressing support for MSMEs through market intelligence and international exposure.

GJEPC officials outlined export facilitation services, upcoming trade fairs, and benefits under the India-UAE CEPA. A panel of exporters and consultants shared tips on entering new markets, using digital tools, and building brands.

A Q&A session addressed export procedures, compliance, certifications, and funding, encouraging newcomers to explore global trade.

Three trade bodies—Mumbai Wholesale Gold Association, Jewellers Youth Forum, and Zaveri Bazaar Welfare Association—were felicitated for their contributions.

The seminar was well-received, reinforcing GJEPC’s role in guiding the industry toward global growth.
