GJEPC Hosts Key Government Officials at Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC in SEEPZ, Mumbai

GJEPC welcomed high-ranking government officials to the state-of-the-art Bharat Ratnam Mega Common Facility Centre (CFC) in SEEPZ, Mumbai, on 13th September 2024. The honoured guests included Shri Sunil Barthwal, Commerce Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry; Shri Santosh Sarangi, Director General of Foreign Trade; and Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

They were welcomed by Shri Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Dnyaneshwar B. Patil, IAS, Development Commissioner, SEEPZ-SEZ; and Shri C.P.S. Chauhan, IRS, Joint Development Commissioner, SEEPZ; Shri Colin Shah, Head of the Working Group, Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC; and Shri Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC.

The Mega CFC in SEEPZ, a project spearheaded by Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, offers advanced technology to support MSMEs in the gems and jewellery industry, offering world-class design, manufacturing, and training services under one roof.

Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC is a pioneering socio-economic project, promoted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It is run by GJEPC with active support by SEEPZ SEZ.

Shri Sunil Barthwal and the accompanying officials appreciated the efforts of the GJEPC in promoting exports and creating job opportunities, while also emphasising the importance of continued collaboration to boost the sector’s global competitiveness.
