GJEPC organised a two-hour marathon meeting with over 40 artisans in Zaveri Bazaar, Mumbai, on 15 July as part of its ongoing initiative to establish Model Karigar Workshops to modernise traditional jewellery manufacturing clusters.
The session, chaired by Mr. K. Srinivasan, Convener – Gold Panel, GJEPC, began with a brief overview of the initiative presented by Mr. Mithilesh Pandey, Director – Membership, GJEPC. Over 40 artisans attended the discussion.
In attendance were several key figures including Mr. Mansukh Kothari, Member – Gold Panel, GJEPC; Mr. Ajit Mauskhar from the World Gold Council; and Mr. Kalidas Roy from the Bengali Swarna Shilpi Kalyan Sangh.
