GJEPC Seminar Empowers Hupari Silver Artisans for Exports

GJEPC recently organised a seminar in the silver jewellery hub of Hupari, Maharashtra, in collaboration with Hupari Chandi Hastkala Udyog Vikas Foundation. The event aimed to equip local artisans with the knowledge and tools necessary to penetrate international markets.

The event witnessed the participation of over 150 artisans. Mr. Mithilesh Pandey, Director, GJEPC, provided valuable insights into the Council’s activities and outlined various MSME schemes. He also presented a detailed guide on leveraging India Post’s platform for e-commerce and expanding business through online channels.

Ms. Naheed Sunke, Asst. Director, National Events, GJEPC, provided comprehensive information about the Indian Exporters’ Grievance Scheme (IEGS), while Mr. Mihir Shah, an International Business Advisor and Trainer, shed light on the crucial steps involved in exporting. Representatives from the Kolhapur branch of India Post offered valuable information about the Postal Export Centre.

In recognition of their pioneering efforts, the first two exporters from Hupari were honoured with trophies in collaboration with Hupari Chandi Hastkala Udyog Vikas Foundation. This gesture serves as a strong motivation for other artisans to embrace export opportunities.
