GJEPC’s Surat Regional Office, in collaboration with the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the Surat Jewellery Manufacturers Association (SJMA), successfully hosted a seminar titled “QCI Quality Journey with GJEPC” at the Hilton Garden Hotel. The event, held on 27th February, 2025, brought together over 130 industry participants to discuss advancements in quality standards and certifications critical to the gems and jewellery sector.
On this occasion, GJEPC felicitated Mr. Vijay Mangukiya, Immediate Past Regional Chairman – Gujarat, GJEPC, for his dedication to the industry’s growth and development of the Surat office. Mr. Jayanti Savaliya, Regional Chairman – Gujarat, GJEPC, underscored the importance of quality certification, NABL accreditation, and adherence to industry best practices. Mr. Rajat Wani, Assistant Director – Surat, GJEPC, outlined key initiatives, including trade education, e-commerce promotion, Common Facility Centre (CFC) projects, and industry support measures.
Dr. Bhumi Rajyaguru, Joint Director, NABL-QCI, provided insights into NABL accreditation, its benefits, and its impact on business growth. QCI experts conducted sessions on ISO standards and ZED certification, with Mr. Samir Joshi, Executive Director, IDI Surat, addressing technical compliance in jewellery manufacturing.
