Gemological Science International (GSI) has officially commenced operations at its exclusive laboratory facility within the Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC in Mumbai. The launch marks a major step in strengthening India’s jewellery ecosystem with advanced gemmological services.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Ravi Menon, CEO of Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC, and Ramit Kapur, Managing Director of GSI India, in the presence of industry leaders, manufacturers, and Mega CFC board members.
Spanning 2,500 sq. ft., the state-of-the-art lab offers a comprehensive suite of services, including diamond grading, gemstone identification, and origin determination. Speaking at the inauguration, Ramit Kapur, MD, GSI India, highlighted the strategic significance of the facility: “Our state-of-the-art lab ensures quicker certification turnaround times, allowing new manufacturers and retail players to access world-class services and build consumer trust effortlessly.”
