Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, paid a brief visit to the GJEPC head office at Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) in Mumbai on 27th September. During his visit, Shri Goyal held discussions with Shri Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Anoop Mehta, President, BDB; Shri Ajesh Mehta, Convener – Diamond Panel, GJEPC; Shri Nirav Bhansali, Convener – National Exhibitions, GJEPC; Shri Saunak Parikh, Convener – Banking Insurance & Taxation, GJEPC; Shri Nilesh Kothari, Convener – International Exhibition, GJEPC; Shri Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC, and key industry leaders.
Shri Goyal examined the India Jewellery Park scale model and provided valuable suggestions. The discussions also focused on steps to improve the severe traffic congestion around BDB, caused by major infrastructure projects such as the metro development.
