The India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai recently hosted a high-profile visit from Shri Siddharth Mahajan, IAS, Hon’ble Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. During his visit, Shri Mahajan embarked on a comprehensive tour of Dubai’s renowned traditional Gold Souq, including its newly inaugurated extension.
The visit also included meetings with prominent Indian retailers such as Tanishq, Senco, and Bhima. The tour concluded with a visit to Bafleh, a leading player in the Middle Eastern jewellery industry.
Shri Mahajan expressed his appreciation for the GJEPC’s initiative in launching IJEX, a dedicated platform that empowers Indian exporters to tap into global markets. He acknowledged the platform’s potential to significantly contribute to India’s jewellery export industry.
