Singapore Prepares for ‘Diamond Davos’ as World Diamond Congress Returns in 2026

Singapore is preparing to host the 41st World Diamond Congress from July 12 to 15, 2026, with organisers aiming to position the event as a high-impact “Diamond Davos” for the global trade. The biennial Congress, jointly convened by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA), will be hosted by the Diamond Exchange of Singapore.

The Congress will serve as a closed-door forum for senior industry leaders to deliberate on strategy, market trends, consumer demand, regulation, responsible sourcing, financing and new technologies influencing the diamond sector.

Drawing government representatives, industry heads and trade bodies, the event will also spotlight ASEAN markets, viewed as key growth destinations. According to Organising Committee Chair and DES President Fabio Cascapera, sessions will offer practical insights into market entry and consumer behaviour across Southeast Asia.

The Congress will run alongside the Singapore International Jewelry Expo, combining policy dialogue with direct market exposure.
