By encouraging experimentation and fresh perspectives, the platform not only celebrates creativity but also shapes the future of jewellery design—where tradition, innovation, and emotion come together seamlessly. This year’s theme, Quantum Couture, curated by Paola De Luca, Creative Director & Trend Forecaster, explored three directions. into three themes. Embroidery, being the first in the series. Here are the 9 standout pieces that made it to the final round, with three declared winners.
EMBROIDERY – Heritage Rewired Through Structure and Light:
Embroidery, in Quantum Couture, transcends ornamentation to become architecture. What was once thread, lace, brocade or beadwork is reengineered into metal, gemstone and negative spaces—stitched not by hand alone, but by an augmented imagination where craft and technology co-author form. Filigree becomes a skeletal system. Jali work behaves like lace. Micro-setting and digital modeling allow volume without weight, complexity without excess.

The Unfinished Lace: Crochet builds and lace dissolves—the moment in between is captured in these organically designed earrings. Inspired by the craft of crochet, where loops are created and interlocked to form fabric, twisted gold wires echo this rhythmic knitting. Diamond-studded filigree wires are layered like delicate stitches, adding texture and depth. The ruffled, lace-like form lends a sense of fluidity, tapering into graduating gold strands that suspend baroque pearls. Here, jewellery becomes wearable couture—where metal replaces thread, light replaces fabric, and embroidery transforms into architecture.

Kashida Carbon Weave Kada: The broad bangle reimagines Kashida embroidery, a traditional handiwork style from Kashmir known for its delicate needlework and nature-inspired motifs. Irish Crochet Lace: Irish crochet lace traces its origins to 19th-century Ireland, where it emerged as an interpretation of the opulent Venetian needlepoint lace.
