Launch Alert: Art’G Unveils Canada-Inspired New-Age Collection

Rio de Janeiro-based designer Márcio Granatowicz, founder of Art’G, unveils a collection that pays homage to the beauteous landscape of Canada where he spent a month in May.

The Canadian expedition from Toronto to Banff and Lake Louise to Montreal, Whistler, and Vancouver, captured the beauty of mountains, frozen lakes, and urban structures – all symbols of resilience and durability, which clearly are reflected in the collection’s design language.

The journey also became a catalyst for a broader evolution of the luxury jewellery house. Now entering a new phase under the concept “Contemporary Royalty: The New Era of Luxury”, Art’G celebrates more than four decades of artisanal craftsmanship while redefining its identity around heritage and cultural dialogue.

Led by Granatowicz and commercial director Henrique Cristiano, the brand positions its creations as enduring symbols designed to transcend time.

Granatowicz’s work is distinctive in the way he treats  material. His signature “velvet gold” technique gives 18-karat gold a soft, matte surface that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, lending volume and tactility to sculptural forms. This finish is also present in emblematic creations such as the Bouquet Ring — originally designed 25 years ago as a tribute to the designer’s mother and now revisited as part of this new phase — reinforcing the brand’s commitment to timeless design.

The latest collection draws on Canadian iconography without literal translation. In the Maple Heritage Line, the country’s most recognisable symbol is reworked into hand-sculpted gold compositions. The Cherry Blossom Line references the seasonal bloom of Vancouver and Toronto through precise, organic structures, while the Emerald Lake pieces connect the deep greens of the Canadian Rockies with Brazilian emeralds, bridging two geographies through material.

“Our jewellery pieces are vessels of history,” says Granatowicz. “They represent a legacy of craftsmanship that resists the ephemeral nature of fashion, conceived to become family heirlooms crafted with the soul of manual work.”

Henrique Cristiano adds: “We want to demonstrate that true luxury is enduring — just like historical landmarks that stand the test of time.”

Further reinforcing its contemporary positioning, Art’G has also implemented international digital certification via blockchain for all its pieces, ensuring authenticity and global traceability. The initiative connects the house’s deeply rooted artisanal tradition with modern standards of security and transparency.

The Canadian journey marks a defining moment in Art’G’s trajectory connecting Brazilian craftsmanship to a broader international narrative.

Founded in 1984, Art’G was one of the first Brazilian companies dedicated to contemporary jewellery design. Over more than four decades, Art’G has earned a special place among jewellery enthusiasts, combining tradition and modernity in every piece.
