National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) CEO Shri Arun Kumar Pillai visited Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Jaipur on 27 March, reviewing infrastructure and training programmes aligned to industry needs.
Shri Pillai was accompanied by an NSDC delegation comprising Shri Prashant Sinha, Chief Operating Officer; Shri Vikas Kumar, General Manager; Shri Kapil Kumar, Deputy General Manager; Shri Tushar Bhatnagar, General Manager; Shri Abhinash Chaudhary; and Shri Rajkumar Sharma.
The delegation was received by Shri Sudhir Kothari, Chairman, IIGJ Jaipur; Shri Abhay Chordia, Industry Representative; Shri Nitin Khandelwal, Regional Director – Jaipur, GJEPC; Shri Anish Kappil Kunjumon, Dean, IIGJ Jaipur; and Shri Divyanshu Agarwal, Registrar, IIGJ Jaipur.
Discussions with GJEPC representatives highlighted rising demand for skilled manpower and the need for funding support to upgrade machinery and expand capacity. Shri Pillai acknowledged IIGJ’s efforts and assured that appropriate steps would be taken to extend support.
