Rare Gems & Heritage Jewels Lead Saffronart’s Fine Jewels and Silver Auction

Saffronart’s upcoming auction  on 21–22 October 2026 will showcase 180 lots, including  Kashmir sapphires, Burmese rubies, Colombian emeralds, natural pearls and diamonds along with period Indian jewellery, folk and tribal jewellery, and Indian and British silver.

The Saffronart’s Fine Jewels and Silver online auction scheduled to take place on 21–22 October 2026 brings an assemblage of Kashmir sapphires, Burmese rubies, and Colombian emeralds, as well as period jewellery, natural pearls, diamonds, finely crafted silver, and pieces from established European houses, distinguished by their craftsmanship and enduring appeal, offering collectors access to pieces that are increasingly rare to find in the market.

The selection also reflects the growing importance collectors today place on rarity, provenance, gemstone origin, and authentication alongside design and craftsmanship. With its established expertise in research, provenance, and documentation, Saffronart provides collectors greater transparency and confidence when acquiring significant jewels online.

Among the most significant offerings is a Burmese Ruby and Diamond Ring, estimated at Rs.1.25–1.75 crores. The ring is centred on a natural Burmese ruby of brilliant clarity, distinguished by the coveted ‘pigeon’s blood’ red colour, and surrounded by diamonds.
The auction also presents an Impressive Colombian Emerald, Pearl and Diamond Tassel Necklace, estimated at Rs. 75–90 lakhs. From the celebrated atelier of The Gem Palace, the sautoir centres on a pear-shaped Colombian emerald and combines diamonds, pearls and a graduated pearl tassel, drawing on the long tradition of the latkan in Indian jewellery.

The other highlights include:

An exquisite pair of Tourmaline and Diamond Earrings estimate at Rs. 1.40-1.80 crores. Each earring centres on an oval Paraiba-type tourmaline, flanked by baguette-cut diamonds.
A Magnificent Sapphire and Diamond ‘Bajuband’ or arm ornament estimated at Rs.1-2 crores. The period arm ornament is centred on an octagonal foil-backed sapphire framed by table-cut polki diamonds.
A Pair of Period Gem-set Reversible ‘Chandbali’ earrings, estimated at Rs. 55-65 lakhs. The reversible pair is embellished with polkis, emeralds, rubies, and pearls, with an elaborately worked front and foil-backed ruby crescent on the reverse.
Period Gem-set Shrinathji Necklace, estimated at Rs. 35-40 lakhs, reflects the devotional traditions through intricate gem-setting and traditional craftsmanship.
