HK Exports Conducts Blood Donation Drive In Mumbai

Hari Krishna Group organised a public blood donation drive on the occasion of the company’s ninth anniversary at The Capital building in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai on 11th February. The drive collected 447 units of blood. It aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation in saving lives, not only in medical emergencies but also in the treatment of people who are suffering from severe life-threatening diseases that necessitate a timely and safe blood transfusion.

It was one of three such blood donation drives that the company organises each year at its Surat and Mumbai offices.

A total of 12,155 units of blood have been collected to date from all the blood donation drives hosted by HK Group, the firm informed.

Ghanshyam Dholakia, Founder & Managing Director, HK Exports Pvt Ltd., said, “Blood donation is one of the greatest acts of society. By organising such blood donation camps, we try to make our effort in filling the need gaps while also making people aware of the value their blood has in saving a patient’s life.” He added, “HK Group has been organising campaigns and marathons to spread awareness about many of such societal concerns like the Swach Bharat Abhiyan, water conservation by building lakes, and tree plantations. Savji Dholakia’s humanitarian work inspires us to continue to do so. As a result, the Indian government has bestowed the honorary title of ‘Padma Shri’ on him. We are extremely proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone who assisted in making this dream a reality.”
