Perth Mint Unveils Half Million Dollar Argyle Treasures™ Ring

The Perth Mint has unveiled Argyle Treasures™, a bespoke ring handcrafted from 18k Australian Origin Gold® and featuring 285 rare Argyle Pink Diamonds™ and four blue Argyle Diamonds™.

The ring is made from 18k Australian Origin Gold®, a premium gold that is ethically and sustainably sourced from Australian mines. The ring’s design is inspired by the natural beauty of the Kimberley region, where the Argyle Diamond Mine is located. The ring features a pair of 0.75 ct Vivid Pink oval diamonds, the highest colour grade for pink diamonds, as well as a touch of 0.03 carats of blue diamonds to represent the water of Lake Argyle.

The ring is the result of a collaboration between The Perth Mint, a long-standing Argyle Pink Diamonds Select Atelier™, and John Glajz, an Argyle Pink Diamonds Icon Partner™. The Perth Mint’s General Manager Minted Products Neil Vance said the ring was a unique collector’s item that highlighted the incredible natural resources Australia had to offer.

“Argyle Treasures™ showcases the world’s rarest colour diamonds which are found in only one place in the world, and we are so fortunate that place is right here in Western Australia,” Vance said.

Glajz, a frequent Mint collaborator, said he appreciated the opportunity to work with The Perth Mint design team.

“As an Argyle Pink Diamonds Icon Partner™, it is an honour to create pieces using the iconic Argyle Pink Diamonds,” he said. “This timeless treasure is set to be an elegant heirloom that can be passed down through the generations.”

The ring is priced at AUD 889,000 ($584,526) and is available for purchase in store and online.
