India’s gem and jewellery presence made a confident start at International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT) 2026, being held from 14-17 January, with six exhibitors participating in the India Pavilion organised by the GJEPC. Akshar Impex, Saraff Solitaires, Kiana Jewels, Raj Trading Corporation, Vekariya Gems and Dharam Export India presented a diverse portfolio spanning loose diamonds and gemstones, diamond jewellery, fine gold and silver jewellery, pearls and coloured stones.
The India Pavilion was visited by Mr. R. Madhu Sudan, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, and Dr. Pramyesh Basall, First Secretary, Embassy of India, who interacted with exhibitors and appreciated the quality and creativity on display, while encouraging exploration of emerging markets.
The participation highlighted India’s strengths in design innovation, precision manufacturing and craftsmanship. With over 23,000 buyers from 52 countries expected at IJT 2026, the show offers strong business prospects for Indian exporters.
