Bakul Limbasiya, founder of Bhathwari Technologies, has been conferred the APO National Award, a national honour recognising leadership, innovation and productivity excellence. Instituted by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and administered in India by the National Productivity Council under DPIIT, the award ranks among the country’s highest recognitions for advancing competitiveness.
The recognition marks a milestone for India’s lab-grown diamond sector. Limbasiya has been associated with the industry since 1998 and produced India’s first lab-grown diamond in 2004, laying the groundwork for a technology-led LGD ecosystem.
Through Bhathwari Technologies, he has driven advances in diamond-growing and processing technologies, supporting export-led growth and responsible manufacturing aligned with Atmanirbhar Bharat.
