AI Pushes Jewellery from Experimentation to Execution

At a seminar held at NESCO on 10 January 2026, industry and technology leaders examined how artificial intelligence is reshaping jewellery design, manufacturing, retail and marketing, signalling a decisive shift in how the sector is preparing for 2030. Titled The AI Revolution: Re-imagining Jewellery by 2030, the session featured Dr Rahee Walambe, AI Consultant and Founder, ThoughtMatrix; Akshat Gupta, Founder and Director, AMG Dynamics; and Saaket Shrikant, Founder, Studio 369.

Opening the discussion, Dr Walambe underlined that AI is no longer optional for jewellery businesses. Already embedded across industries, AI is now entering core jewellery workflows, from design and manufacturing to quality control, retail and storytelling, with the emphasis on augmenting human expertise rather than replacing it.

Akshat Gupta demonstrated how AI is compressing design timelines and enabling mass customisation. Tools such as Goldsmith AI can convert sketches into detailed 3D models within minutes, sharply reducing CAD time while allowing designers to focus on creativity. AI-powered rendering and configurators now generate millions of design variations, opening new B2B and B2C possibilities linked directly to ERP and e-commerce systems.

Concluding the session, Saaket Shrikant highlighted how AI and CGI are reshaping jewellery marketing through precise, scalable visual storytelling. Brands can now create market-specific campaigns without physical shoots, preserving design accuracy while controlling costs. The clear message was that AI is already a competitive advantage, and those adopting it early will shape how jewellery is designed, sold and experienced by 2030.
