IAGES Crosses 100 Accredited Partners Milestone

Indian Association for Gold Excellence and Standards (IAGES) has crossed the 100 accredited partner mark, with its network now covering 550+ outlets across 240+ cities in 29 states, reinforcing its push for standardisation in India’s gold trade.

The accreditation ecosystem spans the entire value chain, including refiners, bullion traders, manufacturers, assaying and hallmarking centres, retailers, and digital gold platforms. Retailers form the largest segment, reflecting faster adoption of standardised business practices and a unified code of conduct.

Accreditation follows a detailed assessment by independent third-party evaluators, covering sourcing, manufacturing, and operational practices. For jewellers, this signals compliance, ethical conduct, and improved consumer trust; for buyers, it offers assurance of authenticity and transparency.

Kaushlendra Sinha, CEO, IAGES, said, “IAGES represents a truly pan-India network from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Mumbai to Kolkata, reiterating the industry’s need for a standard code of conduct uniting businesses under a common framework of best practices. We are delighted to achieve this landmark and continue our endeavours to reach out to each and every gold business in the country.

“While we have accredited large national players, it gives us happiness that small and medium players are coming forward in large numbers which is a true representation of the success and acceptance of IAGES by the Gold Industry.”

To drive consumer awareness, IAGES has launched the ‘Before you buy gold, #PehlaCheckIAGES’ campaign, encouraging buyers to verify accreditation before purchase, aiming to shift decision making towards informed and accountable buying.
