GJEPC successfully hosted the Kochi chapter of its Retailers’ Connect roadshow for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 on 14 June, attracting 125 jewellery retailers from across Kerala.
The event, organised with the support of Kerala Gold and Silver Merchants Association (KGSMA), familiarised retailers with the opportunities available through IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 and various initiatives undertaken by GJEPC to support the gem and jewellery trade.
Naheed Sunke, Assistant Director, GJEPC, presented an overview of the Council’s key programmes, highlighting the benefits of GJEPC membership, international exhibitions, MSME support initiatives, Common Facility Centres (CFCs), and e-commerce frameworks designed to strengthen the industry ecosystem.
A dedicated session in Malayalam was conducted by Deepa Rajendran, Kerala Coordinator, GJEPC, who guided participants through the registration process for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 and explained the advantages of the event’s PVR and AVR packages available to retailers.
The programme also featured a presentation by Murali Ayyar, Category Head – Retail Trade, De Beers India, who outlined the objectives of the Indian Natural Diamond Retailer Alliance (INDRA) Project and its role in enhancing consumer confidence and supporting the growth of natural diamond jewellery retailing.
