GJEPC’s 10th FAM Batch Builds Middle East Market Exposure

The 10th batch of the Familiarisation Programme (FAM), conducted through GJEPC’s Exporter Mentorship Programme (EMP) at IJEX in Dubai, is providing Indian exporters with practical exposure to the Middle East jewellery market. The FAM programme is part of GJEPC’s efforts to provide aspiring exporters with structured mentorship and hands-on market exposure as they prepare to enter and expand in international markets.

Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Consul General of India, appreciated the participants’ engagement and presented certificates recognising their participation.

Across its batches, the programme has trained more than 90 exporters, including new exporters and MSMEs, equipping them with practical insights into regional market dynamics, consumer preferences and the wholesale and retail jewellery ecosystem.

Designer Shabnam Bhojwani addressed the participants on the importance of combining creativity, evolving trends and brand vision. She encouraged jewellers to develop collections that respond to consumer aspirations and have relevance in international markets.

As part of the programme, participants undertake curated visits across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to gain firsthand insights into buying behaviour, pricing, product positioning and emerging market trends.
