Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Hails Maruti Impex Foundation’s Papa Ni Pari Social Initiative

Maruti Impex Foundation recently held a mass marriage ceremony for 552 fatherless daughters spanning multiple castes, religions and cultures. The Papa Ni Pari (father’s princess) Sarvadharma Samuhik Vivah – 2022 was attended by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who hailed the social initiative which also provides livelihood support to the newlyweds.

The ceremony in Bhavnagar was graced by Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, and Shri C.R. Patil, President, Gujarat BJP among other top dignitaries.

In a written message, Shri Narendra Modi said, “The philanthropic work by the organisation is admirable and inspiring both in terms of building social harmony and the dimension of women’s dignity. Blessings to all the newlyweds on this auspicious occasion and congratulations and best wishes to the organisers for the special arrangement.”

Maruti Impex Foundation has so far accomplished 2010 marriages (with ceremony and livelihood support) of less fortunate girls who have lost their fathers. The latest grand event created history and was recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records for the maximum number of garlands exchanged in record 8.33 seconds.

Shri Dinesh Lakhani, Chief Mentor, Maruti Impex Foundation, said, “I’m just a participant in this godly initiative. It is actually my younger brother Suresh who wilfully took the entire responsibility of conducting this event so gracefully and he wanted to do it entirely at his own expense.”

Shri Suresh Lakhani, Chairperson of the Foundation, added, “This is the least we could do for the society and our nation which has given us so much and the blessings I get in return is more than any monetary amount.”
