GJEPC Showcases Growth Opportunities at IGNITE, Maharashtra

On Friday, 19th July, IGNITE, Maharashtra was held under the chairmanship of Collector Thane. During the event, Mr. Mithilesh Pandey, Director, Membership, GJEPC, highlighted the gem and jewellery sector’s growth potential and the India Jewellery Park in Mahape, Navi Mumbai.

Mr. Pandey elaborated on the significant export opportunities available to MSMEs through courier services, e-commerce, and hand carriage. He detailed GJEPC’s extensive support network, including over 10,000 members, a strict KYC and code of ethics policy, and a focus on environmental awareness. He also discussed the IIJS show, which offers new business directions for MSMEs, and highlighted various facilities such as a call centre, ITDC, IIGJ, and training under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

He further emphasised the benefits provided to approximately 7.5 lakh artisans through schemes like Swasthya Ratna and Parichay card, and outlined GJEPC’s action plan to enable all Council members to become exporters.

The event also featured presentations from senior representatives of DGFT, GST, DIC, India Post, and various other institutions. The session saw participation from around 250 industrialists and concluded with Mr. Pandey expressing gratitude to Collector Thane and the Additional Secretary of Industry for their support.
