GJSCI Hosts JOSH Convocation Ceremony at Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC

The Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) organised the JOSH convocation ceremony at the Bharat Ratnam Mega Common Facility Centre, SEEPZ, marking the successful completion of training for the 6th batch of specially abled candidates and the 12th batch of regular candidates. The event highlighted skill development as a key enabler for employment in the gem and jewellery sector.

The ceremony recognised the efforts and discipline of candidates who completed structured, industry-focused training programmes designed to meet current manufacturing and quality requirements. Certificates were awarded to trainees, formally marking their readiness to enter the workforce.

The chief guest Amit Pratihari, Managing Director, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), addressed the candidates and emphasised quality standards, professionalism and the need for continuous learning. Mayur Mankar, Joint Development Commissioner, SEEPZ SEZ, attended as guest of honour and spoke on the importance of skills, confidence and discipline in building sustainable careers.

Rajeev Garg, Executive Director and CEO, GJSCI, and Kiran Padture, General Manager Operations, GJSCI, reiterated the Council’s commitment to inclusive skilling and creating equal opportunities for specially abled and regular candidates through industry-linked training initiatives.
