SRK Marks 20 Years of Santokbaa Humanitarian Award

Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), through its philanthropic arm Shree Ramkrishna Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF), celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Santokbaa Humanitarian Award, honouring individuals whose work has created lasting social impact.

This year’s award was presented to Dr. Gullapalli N. Rao, Founder Chair of the LV Prasad Eye Institute, and Reema Nanavaty, Director of SEWA, for their contributions to healthcare and women’s empowerment. SRKKF also introduced the inaugural Santokbaa Social Entrepreneur Award, which was conferred on Srikanth Bolla, Founder of Bollant Industries.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, distinguished Guests of Honour included Shri Harsh Sanghavi, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat and several other luminaries.

Founded in 2006 by Govind Dholakia, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of SRK, the award recognises exceptional humanitarian leadership and service. Over the past two decades, it has honoured eminent changemakers including Ratan Tata, the Dalai Lama, Sudha Murty, and Kailash Satyarthi.

Govind Dholakia said, “The recipients of this year’s award have demonstrated how purpose-driven action can touch millions of lives. Their vision, dedication and service have created lasting impact and it reminds us that true success is not in personal achievements but in how we uplift those around us.”

Speaking on the occasion, Shreyans Dholakia, Director and Brand Custodian of SRK, noted, “Most changemakers begin their journey because they care, not because they seek recognition. Every day, countless individuals work quietly to solve real challenges and transform lives. While awards do not create changemakers, they help amplify their stories and inspire others to act. What gets celebrated gets replicated, and by recognising compassion, service, and social impact, we hope to encourage more people, especially the younger generation, to see creating positive change as a meaningful purpose in life.”
