Alrosa Wins Awards For Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance Credentials

Foreign investors ranked Alrosa among the top three best-performing publicly traded companies in Russia in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) category.

The Moscow Exchange held the 23rd annual contest of annual reports with additional Investor Relations nominations. The reputable Institutional Investor magazine conducted a survey of international investors with a focus on Russian companies’ performance to name the best CFO, IR professional, ESG function, and corporate IR programme depending on the company’s capitalisation.

Alrosa’s ESG credentials were honoured with the Moscow Exchange and Institutional Investor awards and ranked second among Russian publicly traded companies.

In addition, the сompany was listed as a top three performer in the following categories: the best CFO (Alexey Philippovskiy); the best IR professional (Sergey Takhiev); the best IR programme among mid-cap companies.

Participants of the Institutional Investor survey were asked to assess the following criteria: management’s readiness to engage with the investor community; timely and appropriate financial disclosure; quick and thorough responses to requests; a well-informed IR team empowered to speak authoritatively on the company’s behalf; constructive conference calls; quality of meetings during road shows, conferences and site visits; quality of corporate documents and investor materials; insight and useful reporting on ESG/SRI metrics; quality of the corporate website and commitment to the corporate governance standards.
