Christie’s Jewels Online sale held from 8th to 18th August totalled $4,508,532 with 107% hammer above their low estimate and 98% sold by lot. The sale saw global participation with bidders from 24 countries and first-time registrants accounted for 13% of bidders.
The top lot of the sale was a fancy intense green coloured diamond ring (pictured above) of 3.00 carats, which sold for $491,400.
The sale also achieved strong results for colourless diamonds, including an emerald-cut diamond ring (seen here) of 12.75 carats, which realised $441,000. Signed jewels also saw enthusiastic bidding with a David Webb fancy brown-yellow diamond ring of 33.66 carats achieving $378,000.
