GIA’s Career Fair Returns To London On 1st July

The third Career Fair in London, powered by Gemological Institute of America (GIA), is returning after two years. This event has something for everyone, whether looking to move into the international gem and jewellery industry or to transition ahead in a career already underway.

The GIA Career Fair will take place on 1st July, 11:30 am to 4:15 pm, at the Goldsmiths’ Hall, Foster Lane, London EC2V 6BN. It presents an opportunity to meet recruiters, receive one-on-one career coaching and hear from a panel of experienced professionals. The event is free and open to the public; anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register before the event.

The opening panel will ignite a conversation about “Job Success in Today’s Market.” Moderated by GIA President and CEO Susan M. Jacques, the panellists will share their personal stories and advice about the industry. Attendees will hear from Barry Sullivan of Jewellery Advisory Services; Lewis Malka of Lewis Malka London; Lisa Levinson of Diamond Producers Association London; Karina Sena of Karyna Sena; and Laura Gallon of Laura Gallon Joaillerie.

“We are thrilled to bring back this unique career fair to job seekers in London, especially after a necessary hiatus these last two years,” said Mehdi Saadian, director of GIA’s London school and opening speaker of the event. “With the changing job market and the opportunities that are available at this career fair, job seekers or those looking to advance their careers, will walk away with connections, inspiration and even a new career path.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters from brands such as Adam’s Auctioneers, Fabergé, Hubert Jewelry, Jolyon Marshall, Queensmith, Tiffany & Co. and more. Positions are available in all aspects of the industry, including jewellery design, retail sales, watchmaking, buying and teaching, as well as management-level positions. In addition, job seekers can register for one-on-one career coaching sessions with experienced industry professionals on a variety of gem and jewellery-related topics areas.
