The 6th session of the Exporter Mentorship Programme (EMP) concluded successfully, offering invaluable insights and support to its participants. The programme, designed to assist non-exporting members in transitioning to exporters, featured impactful presentations and innovative initiatives.

Mr. Ashish Sakhardande, Head – IJEX Dubai, GJEPC, shed light on the vast export opportunities available in the Middle East region, while Ms. Rashmi Arora, Economist, Research and Statistics Division, GJEPC, elaborated on the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA). These discussions were instrumental in equipping participants with practical knowledge and strategies to navigate international markets.

The one-month induction programme with special rates has been curated exclusively for the EMP group. This initiative aims to provide hands-on guidance and a tailored approach to encourage members to take their first steps in exporting.

Mr. Sakhardande conducted a virtual tour of IJEX for the 65 attendees. The tour offered participants an in-depth understanding of the facilities and resources available at IJEX. Thirty participants expressed keen interest in exploring IJEX further as a potential platform for their export endeavours.

To further assess and align participants’ product ranges with market demands, one-to-one virtual meetings will be conducted from 16th to 18th January. Each session will last 30 minutes, providing personalised guidance to the participants.

Members found to be ready and genuinely interested in exporting will be offered space at IJEX to facilitate their entry into international markets.

This session underscores EMP’s commitment to fostering growth and creating opportunities for its members, ensuring that the journey from aspiring exporters to successful entrepreneurs is both seamless and rewarding.
