The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) RO Delhi, in collaboration with the Office of Joint DGFT, ECGC Limited, and IDT Gemmological Worldwide Pvt Limited, recently organized an Export Outreach Programme in Ambala, Haryana. The programme saw a gathering of over 75 participants from the Ambala region and its surroundings.
The event was presided over by Shri Ashok Seth, Regional Chairman – North, GJEPC, and was graced by several dignitaries, including Joint DGFT Panipat; Branch Manager ECGC Chandigarh; President of Sarafa Association Ambala Cantonment; President of Sarafa Association Ambala City; and the General Manager from IDT Gemmological Laboratories, Karol Bagh, New Delhi.
Joint DGFT, Panipat, spoke about the foreign trade policy and the various incentives offered by the Government of India. The ECGC representative emphasised the various safeguards in place to protect overseas payment of exporters in case of buyer defaults or any geopolitical crises.
The General Manager from IDT Gemmological Laboratories spoke of the benefits and necessity of getting authenticity certification for gemstones and diamonds. The programme also informed local exporters about the developments and intricacies of foreign trade policies.
