The 13th India Rough Gemstones Sourcing Show (IRGSS) 2026 which runs from 24 August to 11 September, provides Indian coloured gemstone manufacturers with direct access to rough emeralds from Zambia. The show was formally inaugurated by chief guest Shri R.K. Chandan, Commissioner of Customs, Jaipur. Organised with the support of Jaipur Customs, the event features Kagem Mining Ltd., Zambia, showcasing its rough emeralds to more than 60 Indian coloured gemstone manufacturers.
GJEPC introduced the IRGSS sourcing concept in Jaipur in 2020 to enable India’s coloured gemstone manufacturers to inspect and purchase rough without travelling to producing countries, creating a direct link between miners and India’s manufacturing base. Jaipur’s position as the coloured gemstone capital of the world, particularly for emeralds, makes the city a key market for the initiative.
The inauguration was also attended by Shri Jeevan Ram Dhaka, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, ACC Jaipur. Industry representatives included Shri Yogendra Garg, Regional Chairman – Rajasthan, GJEPC; Shri D.P. Khandelwal, Convener, Coloured Gemstones Panel, GJEPC; and members of the Council’s Regional Committee and the Coloured Gemstones Panel Committee.
