GJEPC launches 3-Week EMP 5th Edition (9th- 26th June) with 75 Aspirant Exporters

GJEPC launched the 5th Edition of its 3-Week Exporter Mentorship Programme (EMP) on 9 June 2026, with 74 aspiring entrepreneurs and exporters participating in the orientation session.

Welcoming participants, Dr. Rashmi Arora, Economist, GJEPC, highlighted the programme’s achievements since its inception in January 2025, including training over 400 participants, facilitating the creation of 30-40 new exporters, and generating business worth approximately ₹20 crore through more than 100 export consignments.

Suvankar Sen, Managing Director & CEO, Senco Gold Ltd., encouraged participants to tap global opportunities, while Siddhartha H., COO, GJEPC, outlined the Council’s vision of positioning India as the “Jewellers for the World”. Ashish Sakhardande, Head – IJEX, Dubai, GJEPC, and Nodal Officer for the Middle East Region, shared insights on market access opportunities through IJEX, which has facilitated over USD 50 million in business since 2022.

Session 1: Export Procedures, Documentation & INCOTERMS

Faculty: Amit Mulani, Managing Director, Atlantico International

Held on 10 June, the session covered export-import procedures, documentation, HS Codes, customs compliance, and INCOTERMS 2020. Participants gained practical insights into trade terms such as FOB, C&F, and CIF, along with international logistics and risk allocation.

Session 2: Basic Framework of Export-Import Management

Faculty: Dr. Rashmi Arora, Economist, GJEPC

The 11 June session focused on IEC registration, export processes, market selection, buyer identification, FTAs, HS Codes, and export readiness.

Session 3: Payment Terms in International Trade

Faculty: Amit Mulani, Managing Director, Atlantico International

Conducted on 12 June, the session examined international payment mechanisms, risk management, and best practices for secure cross-border transactions, helping participants strengthen their understanding of global trade operations.
