GJEPC in collaboration with InvestHK, a government department to promote and facilitate foreign investment, organised a business meet titled ‘Discovering Hong Kong’s Brilliance’ at Bharat Diamond Bourse on 7th March 2024.
The seminar was keynoted by Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC, who highlighted the strategic importance of Hong Kong as a pivotal gateway for global business expansion in the Far East, akin to Dubai’s significance in the Middle East.
Dr. Jimmy Chang, Associate Director General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK, emphasised the conducive business environment in Hong Kong, and its role in facilitating global demand delivery.
Mr. Ray stated that with 85% of the 10,000 registered GJEPC members constituting small-scale enterprises, the Council aims to replicate the successful IJEX model from Dubai in Hong Kong, fostering new opportunities for the gem and jewellery industry.
