GJEPC successfully concluded its Exporter Mentorship Program (EMP) for prospective exporters to the UAE market. From 16th to 22nd January, the GJEPC conducted an intensive series of 40 meetings with potential exporters. The program focused on evaluating key factors such as product matching, stock availability, interest in utilising the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) Dubai facility, and financial flexibility.
Based on these assessments, 17 exporters were deemed eligible for a comprehensive three-week export induction program at IJEX, while 18 were selected for a one-week Export Familiarisation Program.
“We are grateful for the overwhelming response from the participants,” said Dr. Rashmi Arora, Economist, Research & Statistics Division, GJEPC. “They expressed immense appreciation for the support and guidance provided by the GJEPC. Their confidence has soared, and apprehensions about entering the UAE market are significantly diminishing.”
The EMP was conducted with the support of Mr. Ashish Sakhardande, Head – IJEX Dubai, GJEPC, and a dedicated team of mentors from the Council including Mr. Sanjay Madaan, Mr. Bhanu Prasath, Mr. Shambhulal Meena, Mr. Manoj Bhomia, and Mr. Salim Abdul. The program aimed to equip aspiring exporters with the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully navigate the UAE market.
