GJEPC organised a webinar on 27th April to explain the procedure of registration on the E-Sanchit single-window Customs clearance portal, which has been made mandatory for all importers/exporters.
Attended by more than 150 participants from India and overseas, the webinar was moderated by Manish Jiwani, Convener, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), GJEPC, and featured guest speaker Mihir Turakhia, Partner, Novel Exim, who informed participants about the need to follow the regulatory compliances, and explained the process of electronically uploading the documents to obtain clearances.
Attendees were given a live demo on creating an Indian Customs Electronic Gateway (ICEGATE) ID, new user registration process, steps for logging in to ICEGATE, documents required and procedures for import/export consignment, and E-Sanchit mechanism.

Turakhia explained about the API facility available for E-sanchit, software with link/names used for digital signatures, IRN & DRN number, Names & Numbers of documents shared on the website, one-time registration process, etc.
