GJEPC Webinar Familiarises MSMEs With Advanced 3D Printing Tech

The GJEPC conducted a webinar on “Advance Technology of 3D Printing – Opportunity for MSMEs” on 11th August in collaboration with Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), Indore, Ministry of MSME, Government of India and the Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), Durgapur.

GJEPC MSME Convener Manish Jivani addressed the 70 attendees from India and abroad and gave the vote of thanks.

The panel of eminent speakers included D.C. Sahu, Joint Director and HOO, MSME DI Indore; Gaurav Goyal Assistant Director, MSME DI Indore; Dr. Manidipto Mukherjee, Senior Scientist, Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Metrology Group, CMERI, Durgapur; Dr. Dilpreet Singh, Senior Scientist, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing (Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Metrology) CMERI, Durgapur; and Pranabendu Saha, Senior Technical Officer, CMERI, Durgapur.

In his opening remarks, Shri. Sahu assured support from MSME-DI, Indore to the gem and jewellery sector, and discussed the benefits of schemes such as Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE – CDP) Scheme; Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) Scheme; and the Tool Rooms and Technical Institutions – A Component of Infrastructure Development & Capacity Building Scheme.

Dr. Dilpreet Singh and Dr. Manidipto Mukherjee briefed the attendees on the following topics related to 3D printing/additive manufacturing:
