GJEPC’s Export Mentorship Programme Moves Into One-to-One Mentoring for Batch 6

GJEPC completed the training phase of the sixth batch of its Export Mentorship Programme (EMP), moving 94 participants into personalised mentoring aimed at helping aspiring exporters translate their learning into practical export plans.

The training, which ran from 7 September to 16 October 2026, comprised 24 online sessions across five modules. The curriculum covered export procedures and documentation, product and market selection, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), government incentives, MSME schemes, export finance, insurance and digital sales channels. Participants also received guidance on buyer identification, trade shows, buyer-seller meets and the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX).

Industry experts and GJEPC representatives led sessions combining technical instruction with practical exercises. Faculty included International Trade Consultant Amit Mulani, Jubin Mishra, Partner at Blue Helion, and Dr. Pratima Khandelwal, Founder and Lead Facilitator at FlyHigh Bengaluru. The programme also introduced participants to using product-level trade data to identify potential markets and assess demand.

The second phase, which began on 19 October, focuses on individual business requirements. GJEPC’s head office and regional teams in Chennai, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Surat were assigned participants for one-to-one mentoring. The guidance covers export readiness, documentation, pricing, target-market selection, buyer outreach and onboarding onto suitable sales platforms.

The mentoring framework aims to establish clear action points and track progress towards export readiness, qualified buyer engagement and, where possible, confirmed orders and shipments. The programme builds on the experience of the first five batches, which had trained more than 430 professionals. By combining structured training with individual follow-up, GJEPC aims to help more MSMEs in India’s gems and jewellery sector access international markets and strengthen their export capabilities.
