GJSCI Holds Convocation Ceremony For 1st Batch Of Dharampur Skill Training Centre

Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) conducted a convocation ceremony for the first batch of students who successfully completed the Jewellery CAD Designer course at the Skill Training Centre in Dharampur, Valsad district, Gujarat, that was inaugurated in collaboration with Shrimad Rajchandra Skill Development Centre (SRSDC) in September 2022.

GJSCI held the Convocation ceremony in Mumbai to give the students an opportunity to visit factories in the city for the first time. The chief guest at the ceremony was Shyam Jagannathan (IAS), Development Commissioner, and guest of honour was C.P.S. Chauhan (IRS), Joint Development Commissioner, SEEPZ, Mumbai.

Sanjay Kothari the former Chairman of GJSCI, under whom this project was initiated, was present at the event along with Rajeev Garg, ED & CEO, GJSCI; Kaushik Visaria, Project Coordinator, for SRSDC; and Venkatesh Medhek, Head Trainer, GJSCI.

The Chief Guest and Guest of Honour shared inspirational insights with the candidates and offered guidance on their careers and their journey ahead.

The candidates were given an opportunity to interact with their prospective employers through whom GJSCI facilitated placements through a lucky draw.  All 18 candidates were placed with the 11 donor companies present at the event.
