GJSCI JOSH Trainee Vishal Mahadik Felicitated At Skill Convocation Ceremony

Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) said that Vishal Mahadik, who trained at its Jewellery Occupational Skilling Hub (JOSH) in Mumbai, was felicitated by Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, and the Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, at the first Skill Convocation ceremony, Kaushal Dikshant Samaroh, held in New Delhi on 17th September.

Vishal Mahadik was among 100 selected toppers from the skill ecosystem who were felicitated and honoured with convocation certificates.

Addressing the Convocation ceremony via video message, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the government is going to open more than 5,000 skill hubs to promote skill development at the school level. After the implementation of the New National Education Policy, experience-based learning is also being promoted and skill courses are being introduced in schools.

Talking about the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, ‘Industry 4.0’, the Prime Minister remarked that Industrial Training Institutes will have a big role to play in India’s success.

The Skill Convocation ceremony was aimed at not only boosting the morale of students in the entire skilling ecosystem but also inspiring them to work towards the vision of building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship convened this ceremony across 20000+ Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of candidates who cleared the All-India Trade Test (CBT) under CITS for session 2021.
