With Glacial Symphony, Gübelin Jewellery presents a new haute joaillerie creation from the company’s own atelier in Lucerne. The chandelier earrings were inspired by the inner world of a sapphire that reveals unique structures which reminded the atelier artisans of a glacier feeding a sparkling mountain stream.
The design of the impressive linear earrings calls forth light refractions in ice crystals and the gently mountain stream tumbling through the Swiss Alpine landscape.
Glacial Symphony offers two ways of wearing: as classically elegant ear studs or more festively as chandelier earrings with a flowing gemstone setting. The two cushion-shaped sapphires from Sri Lanka (5.40 carats and 5.18 carats) exude elegance and style. A total of 17.35 carats of sapphires are set in the earrings.
The gemstone setting in the chandelier element starts with a cabochon-cut ruby. A total of four rubies adorn these earrings, followed by diamonds set in a fine, flowing gradation reminiscent of a glistening mountain stream. This bold energy is highlighted by marquise-shaped sapphires, dramatically heightening the dynamism of Glacial Symphony.
