Head Turners

These atypical modern bejewelled creations highlight some of the archetypal Japanese motifs replete with sleek and spiral bamboo, glossy cherry blossoms, magnolia, wisteria, beautiful birds, fine foliage and more.

Introducing the attention-grabbing finalists from the Japanesque category of The Artisan Awards 2021.

Here’s a nod to the past…motifs strongly associated with the Japanese culture are articulated using layered patterns employing the Mokume-gane process, a mixed metal laminate, and Damascening or inlay techniques.

These fine and feminine enduring designs illuminate the essence of nature.

The main theme for the fourth edition of The Artisan Awards 2021 is Reinventing Vintage with three sub categories: Victorian, Temple and Japanesque jewellery.

The Artisan Awards celebrate the revival of these eternal design eras!
