The Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai hosted the Glimpz 23 exhibition on 28th July at its Andheri campus. The exhibition featured jewellery created by the graduating designers from the B.A. in Gems & Jewellery program. Esteemed personalities from the gem & jewellery industry graced the occasion, inspiring and encouraging the young designers.
In his speech, the chief guest, Amit Pratihari, VP of De Beers Forevermark India, emphasised the importance of discipline, consistency, and creativity on the journey to success. He motivated the aspiring designers to pursue their passion with dedication.
Gracing the event were jury panel members such as senior fashion icon and writer Meher Castelino, renowned jewellery virtuoso and designer Laksh Pahuja, Goldstar Jewellery VP Product Development Yogendra Tripathi, and eminent jewellery designer Indra Jadwani.
Milan Chokshi, Chairman of IIGJ Mumbai, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response and appreciation received by the budding designers. He commended the faculty members for their unwavering support and guidance in nurturing the talents of these young designers.
Bharat Vaswani, Head of the Institute, applauded the students for their hard work and dedication to their craft. Encouraging them to explore their creativity further, he assured them of IIGJ Mumbai’s support in their professional journey and advised them to serve as alumni to guide future students in their pursuit of dreams.
