Mr. Niraj Shah, the newly appointed Country Head of the Global Diamond & Jewellery Group at IndusInd Bank, paid a visit to the headquarters of the GJEPC on 12th March. During his visit, Mr. Niraj Shah engaged in an interactive meeting with the Chairman Mr. Vipul Shah, Executive Director Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, and other GJEPC CoA members, who briefed him about Council’s roles and functions to promote exports from India.
Mr. Niraj Shah takes over the reins following the retirement of veteran banker Mr. Bijayananda (Biju) Pattanayak, who had served the diamond and jewellery industry for close to 30 years of his distinguished four-decade career.
Mr. Niraj Shah expressed the bank’s longstanding support for the industry and assured continued backing in the future. He also expressed his desire for increased interaction with trade members and the GJEPC to gain a deeper understanding of the industry, given his recent assumption of the role.
