London-based independent diamond miner Petra Diamonds recovered a 342.92-carat Type IIa white diamond of exceptional quality in terms of both its colour and clarity at the Cullinan mine in South Africa. The diamond is likely to be sold via the company’s upcoming tender during September 2021, it noted.
The company has a diversified portfolio incorporating interests in three underground producing mines in South Africa (Finsch, Cullinan and Koffiefontein) and one open pit mine in Tanzania (Williamson).
