Signet-owned Jared Introduces In-Store Jewellery Customisation

Signet Jewelers has introduced an in-store bespoke jewellery design service called “The Jared Foundry” in 19 Jared stores across the USA. Using the service, customers can design a jewellery piece from scratch by collaborating with Jared’s team of 1,400 artisans and apprentices nationwide.

The Jared Foundry is “a pioneering and bespoke in-store experience that amplifies Jared’s expert artisans and use of technology – including 3D printers – currently located within 19 select stores from New York to California,” a company press release stated.

“People love personalising seemingly everything these days, and we believe now is the time to let them experience the exhilarating world of fine jewellery design,” said Bill Brace, EVP and Jared Executive General Manager. “Many people are thrilled to learn that Jared’s trusted artisans can help bring customers’ unique visions to life – with as much or as little guidance from our trusted artisans as they wish, and on their own terms and budget. And we’re equally thrilled by what we empower them to create – from extravagant expressions of love with rare-cut diamonds to deeply personal reimaginations of family heirlooms.”

In addition to being asked about preferences for budget, materials and timelines, and personality, lifestyle and style aesthetic, the customer maintains control throughout the design process by approving each iteration.

The service embraces cutting-edge techniques in software and in-store tech. The artisans have access to Computer Aided Design software, and may use 3D printers to help bring customers’ visions to life.
