SRK Empire, the LEED Platinum certified diamond crafting facility of Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SRK), has been listed among the World’s Top 6 Green Buildings for its operational performance.
The crafting facility achieved a score of 92 out of 100 points. The score has been calculated against various parameters such as Monthly Average Arc Performance Score. The score of 92 was calculated on continuous and real-time basis, and the average of Energy consumption, Water consumption, Waste Management system, Transportation system score, and Human Experience index.
Inaugurated in 2011 by Varda Shine, the then MD of the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), the building had achieved the LEED Gold Certification in 2015 and then got enhanced to Platinum Certification status from US Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2018, making it the “First manufacturing facility in India and the Asia region”, and also the First in the “Gems and Jewellery sector across the world” to be awarded the Platinum rating by USGBC.

The state-of-the-art facility in Surat operates daily with nearly 4,000 people, and houses technologically advanced equipment and systems.
