Tiffany & Co’s Bone Cuff for Shakira

Tiffany & Co. has crafted a bespoke, sparkling rendition of its iconic Bone Cuff for Colombian superstar Shakira.

On her world tour, the singer wore a one-of-a-kind pair of Elsa Peretti® Bone Cuffs, crafted in platinum and pavé-set with diamonds. Each cuff is hand-engraved with the tour’s name, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry), making it a deeply personal statement of empowerment.

A true masterpiece, the Bone Cuff in platinum features over 100 hand-set diamonds, tracing the elegant curve of its sculptural form — an unmistakable nod to Elsa Peretti’s signature Teardrop design. Inspired by childhood visits to a Capuchin Crypt in Rome and her admiration for Antoni Gaudí’s organic architecture, Elsa Peretti first conceived the Bone Cuff in 1970. More than five decades later, the collection has evolved into an exploration of material, scale, and form, each design a testament to Elsa Peretti’s visionary creativity.

The late star designer once reflected: “A long time ago, I tried to fight il mio dolore (my pain) by wearing the shape of a tear in silver around my neck. If you have tears around your neck or on your ears, you don’t have them in your eyes.” This sentiment powerfully echoes the spirit of Shakira’s tour — a celebration of resilience, independence, and emotional strength.

Designed in 1970, the Bone Cuff remains a revolutionary vision of femininity. Elsa Peretti’s groundbreaking design is sculpted to conform to both the left and right wrists — an intentional choice that allows the cuff to become one with the body. With its sensual curves and sculptural grace, the Bone Cuff embodies a perfect balance of power and elegance. Worn by some of the world’s most celebrated figures, it remains one of the most iconic designs in jewellery history.

Annette Welander’s Pearly Spheres

This spring, Swedish designer Annette Welander unveils Sphere, a fine jewellery collection that reimagines the beauty of pearls.

On model: Jewels from the Sphere collection.

“I chose pearls for the Sphere collection because I believe in the harmony between something raw and something crafted. The perfectly round Tahitian pearls instantly evoke a connection to the natural world, and their shape closely mirrors that of our own planet,” says the creative director of her eponymous design house, founded in 2018.

Tahitian pearls hold a special significance for Annette: “They are among the rarest and most valuable pearls in the world. Their luminous sheen and captivating mystique have always fascinated me, and they are the only naturally black pearls. Their iridescent hues shimmer across the surface, evoking both the depths of the ocean and the grandeur of nature.”

The Sphere collection explores the interplay between man-made precision and nature’s organic forms. Using cutting-edge technology, the designs strike a perfect balance between lustrous black Tahitian pearls and structured diamond cubes. Encircling each pearl are natural white Wesselton VVS diamonds (E-F colour), set in delicate 18-karat gold squares — an elegant juxtaposition of geometry and fluidity.

The line includes a refined necklace, where the pearl sits gracefully at the collarbone, a contemporary pearl ring, and perfectly spherical Tahitian pearl stud earrings. As a signature of the house, each piece conceals a hidden diamond, known only to the wearer.

Annette ensures that only the finest-quality Tahitian pearls, sustainably sourced from Tahiti’s most respected farms, are used in the Sphere collection. “These are top-lustre pearls with an A-grade rating, the highest quality available. No treatments or artificial enhancements are performed — what you see is pure, natural beauty,” she explains.

The designer works closely with her Stockholm-based studio, where expert Swedish goldsmiths handcraft each piece, ensuring unparalleled craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Guzema and 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Capsule Line

Ukrainian fine jewellery brand Guzema makes its US debut with an exclusive collaboration with New York fashion powerhouse 3.1 Phillip Lim.

The capsule collection, a refined fusion of both brands’ aesthetics, features two standout pieces — a sleek snake choker and a matching bracelet.

Crafted in sustainably sourced sterling silver and 14-karat gold, each piece bears the signature 3.1 Phillip Lim logo engraving on the clasp. The snake motif, chosen to symbolise the Lunar New Year and the transformative symbolism of the serpent, embodies themes of renewal and evolution — much like a snake shedding its skin.

The silver braid is composed of three chains from the Snake collection by Guzema and 3.1 Phillip Lim.

“We are incredibly proud of this collaboration with 3.1 Phillip Lim. I’ve been a personal fan of the brand since the mid-2000s — it holds a strong reputation in Ukraine as a modern luxury house that exudes effortless cool. Guzema is designed for the global woman who seeks timeless, heritage pieces to complement her dynamic lifestyle — values that align seamlessly with 3.1 Phillip Lim. We couldn’t think of a more fitting partnership for our US debut,” says Valeriya Guzema, founder and designer.

The collection will be available exclusively on guzema.com and at 3.1 Phillip Lim boutiques worldwide starting March 2025. The sterling silver necklace is priced at $650, while the matching bracelet retails for $400. An 18-karat gold edition will also be available upon request.
